South Carolina High School Softball - Cheraw nudges St. John's

Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Braves now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Buford for a AA Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Cheraw will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, St. John's falls to 9-3 on the campaign. The Cadets travel to Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD) to battle the Falcons in a Washington Catholic challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Our Lady of Good Counsel won 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Maret (Washington, DC)
