In Thursday's non-league contest, the Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN) softball team overwhelmed the host Fort Recovery Indians (Fort Recovery, OH), by a margin of 13-7.

With the triumph, Jay County moves its record to 8-0 on the year. The Patriots host Norwell (Ossian, IN) to play the Knights in a non-league contest on Friday, April 14. The Knights come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Norwell lost 11-4 in their recent non-league contest against Yorktown (Yorktown, IN)

In their next game, the Indians play the Fort Loramie Redskins (Fort Loramie, OH) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 14. Fort Recovery will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Redskins come into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Coldwater (Coldwater, OH).
