Loudonville Redbirds (Loudonville, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Highland Fighting Scots (Marengo, OH), 12-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Redbirds now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wooster for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. Loudonville will battle a Generals squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, OH). The Generals record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Highland falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Fighting scots host Centerburg (Centerburg, OH) to battle the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. Centerburg won 6-0 in their recent league challenge against East Knox (Howard, OH)
