The Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC) baseball nipped the host Northern Nash Knights (Rocky Mount, NC), 8-7 in Saturday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Chargers encounter the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) in a Eastern Plains 2A contest, on Tuesday, April 16.
