The Morris Redskins baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Coal City Coalers to 2 in the Redskins non-league victory on Saturday.
The Redskins (11-3) will now prepare for their match against LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL). The Cavaliers go into the Interstate Eight match with a 7-9 record. In their last match, LaSalle-Peru ran past Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL), 9-8, in a non-league match.
The Coalers (9-3) will now prepare for their match against Wilmington (Wilmington, IL). The Wildcats go into the Illinois Central Eight match with a 9-1 record. In their last match, Wilmington ran past Beecher (Beecher, IL), 5-3, in a non-league match.
