Arizona High School Baseball - Monument Valley nudged by Cortez

The Monument Valley Mustangs baseball team (Kayenta, AZ), was tipped 11-10 in Saturday's non-league outing with the visiting Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ)

The Colts now hold a 7-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Apache Junction for a 4A Black Canyon outing on Monday, April 15. Cortez will confront a Prospectors team coming off a 17-1 league loss to Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ). The Prospectors record now stands at 5-14.

Next, the Mustangs confront the Window Rock Fighting Scouts (Fort Defiance, AZ) in a 3A North outing, on Monday, April 15. Monument Valley will attempt to advance on its 3-19 season record. The Fighting Scouts go into the outing with a 1-16 record after their 18-7 non-league loss to Cortez (Phoenix, AZ).
