The Rochester Rockets baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Gillespie Miners to 3 in the Rockets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Rockets now hold a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Routt Catholic for a non-league outing on Saturday, April 13. Rochester will confront a Rockets team coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 14-5.
Next, the Miners confront the Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL) in a South Central outing, on Tuesday, April 16. Gillespie will attempt to advance on its 12-5 season record. The Piasa Birds go into the outing with a 14-4 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Greenville (Greenville, IL).
