In Saturday's non-league game, the host Seneca Fighting Irish baseball team scored a tight 6-0 victory over the Somonauk Bobcats.

The Fighting Irish (11-4) will now prepare for their game against Woodland (Streator, IL). The Warriors go into the Tri-County game with a 1-7 record. In their last game, Woodland was overwhelmed by Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn (Roanoke, IL), 15-3, in a league contest.

The Bobcats now sport a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newark for a Little Ten contest on Monday, April 15. Somonauk will play a Norsemen squad coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to Westmont (Westmont, IL). The Norsemen record now stands at 2-15.
