Pueblo County Hornets (Pueblo, CO) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Lewis-Palmer Rangers (Monument, CO), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hornets face the Pueblo West Cyclones (Pueblo West, CO) in a 4A/3A South Central challenge, on Tuesday, April 16. Pueblo County will attempt to better on its 8-0 season record. The Cyclones enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 5-0 league win over Pueblo Centennial (Pueblo, CO).

The Rangers now have a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lutheran for a 4A Pikes Peak challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Lewis-Palmer will face a Lions team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Golden (Golden, CO). The Lions record now stands at 6-1.
