The Santa Rosa Lions baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Melrose Buffaloes to 1 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.
The Lions (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Texico (Texico, NM). The Wolverines go into the non-league match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Texico ran past Clovis (Clovis, NM), 14-8, in a non-league match.
The Buffaloes (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Grady (Grady, NM). The Bronchos go into the match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Grady ran past Jal (Jal, NM), 7-6, in a non-league match.
