Highland Trojans (Highland, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Whiting Oilers (Whiting, IN), 23-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andrean for a challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Highland will battle a Fighting 59ers squad coming off a 13-1 league win over Lowell (Lowell, IN). The Fighting 59ers record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Whiting falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Oilers travel to Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN) to battle the Bearcats in a challenge on Monday, April 15. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
