Adams Highlanders (Rochester, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Highlanders now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Flat Rock for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Adams will face a Rams squad coming off a 12-9 league loss to Huron (New Boston, MI). The Rams record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, Powers Catholic falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Athens (Troy, MI) to face the Red Hawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. The Red Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
