In Saturday's non-league contest, the Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY) softball team overwhelmed the host Allen County-Scottsville Patriots (Scottsville, KY), by a margin of 9-2.

With the triumph, Southwestern moves its record to 10-5 on the year. The Warriors host Wayne County (Monticello, KY) to play the Cardinals in a District 48 contest on Monday, April 15. The Cardinals come into the contest with a record of 3-10. Wayne County won 6-4 in their recent non-league contest against Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY)

In their next game, the Patriots play the Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 13. Allen County-Scottsville will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record. The Rockets come into the contest with a 5-11 record after their 4-2 league loss to Somerset (Somerset, KY).
