The Frederick Douglass Broncos softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Boyd County Lions to 12 in the Broncos non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Frederick Douglass improves its record to 7-5 on the year. The Broncos host Madison Southern (Berea, KY) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league game on Monday, April 15. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 5-7. Madison Southern won 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin (Chardon, OH)

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Notre Dame Titans (Portsmouth, OH) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 13. Boyd County will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Titans come into the game with a 8-1 record after their 12-1 league win over East (Sciotoville, OH).
