Liberty Charter Lions (Alpine, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Castle Park Trojans (Chula Vista, CA), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sweetwater for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Liberty Charter will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over San Ysidro (San Diego, CA). The Red Devils record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Castle Park falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Trojans host Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA) to face the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 5-13. Hilltop lost 16-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA)
