The Section Lions routed the host Decatur Red Raiders softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Lions (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Mae Jemison (Huntsville, AL). The Jaguars go into the non-league battle with a 5-11 record. In their last battle, Mae Jemison nudged St. John Paul II (Huntsville, AL), 8-6, in a non-league battle.
The Red Raiders now sport a 9-30 record. They play next when they travel to Ramsay for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 13. Decatur will meet a Rams squad coming off a 14-6 non-league loss to Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, AL). The Rams record now stands at 11-10.
