The East Carter Raiders softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Scott Skyhawks to 1 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, East Carter improves its record to 10-3 on the year. The Raiders travel to West Carter (Olive Hill, KY) to clash with the Comets in a District 62 game on Tuesday, April 16. The Comets come into the game with a record of 3-7.

Next up, the Skyhawks confront the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) in a Cardinal battle, on Monday, April 15. Scott will attempt to better on its 9-7 season record. The Miners go into the battle with a 2-3 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY).
