The Hammond Morton Governors routed the visiting Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves softball squad by a count of 12-7 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Governors (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Highland (Highland, IN). The Trojans go into the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Highland nudged Merrillville (Merrillville, IN), 19-1, in a non-league battle.
The Red Wolves now sport a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Tinley Park for a SICA - Central battle on Monday, April 15. Thornton Fractional South will meet a Titans squad coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL). The Titans record now stands at 6-3.
