The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN) and the host Northridge Raiders (Middlebury, IN), saw Homestead's softball squad nip Northridge by a count of 13-7.

The Spartans now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Huntington North for a non-league match on Monday, April 15. Homestead will face a Vikings squad coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Fort Wayne Northrop (Fort Wayne, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Northridge falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Goshen (Goshen, IN) to meet the RedHawks in a Northern Lakes battle on Monday, April 15. The RedHawks go into the battle with a record of 1-5. Goshen lost 13-1 in their recent non-league battle against Fairfield (Goshen, IN)
