Stoneman Douglas Eagles (Parkland, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Keys Gate Knights (Homestead, FL), 11-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Taravella for a 7A District 14 challenge on Monday, April 15. Stoneman Douglas will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to West Broward (Pembroke Pines, FL). The Trojans record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Keys Gate falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Knights host Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) (Miami, FL) to battle the Stallions in a 3A District 16 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Stallions enter the challenge with a record of 12-5. Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) won 5-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Immokalee (Immokalee, FL)
