Pennsylvania High School Softball - Union Area bounces New Castle

April 13, 2024: New Castle, PA 16101

The Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) softball routed the host New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), 18-12 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Scotties (5-0) will now prepare for their bout against Neshannock (New Castle, PA). The Lancers go into the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Neshannock held off Shenango (New Castle, PA), 7-0, in a league bout.

The Hurricanes now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Moon Area for a WPIAL 5A 3 bout on Monday, April 15. New Castle will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Buckeye (Medina, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 0-3.
