Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Plainfield North Tigers (Plainfield, IL), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Charles East for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Oak Park-River Forest will battle a Fighting Saints squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Glenbard North (Carol Stream, IL). The Fighting Saints record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Plainfield North falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Minooka (Minooka, IL) to battle the Indians in a Suburban Prairie - South challenge on Monday, April 15. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 9-1. Minooka won 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Sandburg (Orland Park, IL)
