The Prairie Central Hawks softball team scored 23 runs and limited the visiting Peoria Christian Chargers to 1 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Prairie Central moves its record to 9-8 on the year. The Hawks host St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL) to play the Spartans in a Illini Prairie game on Monday, April 15. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 12-5. St. Joseph-Ogden won 5-2 in their recent non-league game against Herscher (Herscher, IL)

In their next game, the Chargers play the Princeville Princes (Princeville, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 15. Peoria Christian will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Princes come into the game with a 3-7 record after their 8-0 league loss to Knoxville (Knoxville, IL).
