Prospect Knights (Mt. Prospect, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Rolling Meadows for a Mid-Suburban East challenge on Monday, April 15. Prospect will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Evanston (Evanston, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Stevenson falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Zion-Benton (Zion, IL) to face the Zee-Bees in a North Suburban challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Zee-Bees enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Zion-Benton lost 6-2 in their recent non-league challenge against New Trier (Winnetka, IL)
