Wausau West Warriors (Wausau, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Superior Spartans (Superior, WI), 13-10 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marshfield for a Wisconsin Valley challenge on Monday, April 15. Wausau West will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 15-2 non-league loss to Chippewa Falls (Chippewa Falls, WI). The Tigers record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Superior falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Hermantown (Hermantown, MN) to battle the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Hermantown won 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Esko (Esko, MN)
