Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) followers left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC), 3-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Erwin moves its record to 7-9 on the season. The Warriors host North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC) to battle the Black Hawks in a Mountain 5A/6A match on Tuesday, April 14. The Black Hawks come into the match with a record of 7-9. North Buncombe won 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Madison (Marshall, NC)

The Warhorses now possess a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison for a Western Highlands 2A/3A match on Tuesday, April 14. Owen will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 8-6.
