In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Lewis Mills Spartans lacrosse squad scored a tight 12-6 triumph over the Pomperaug Panthers.
The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Bristol [Bristol Eastern/Bristol Central] (Bristol, CT). The Lancers go into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
Next, the Panthers clash with the New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) in a South West challenge, on Thursday, April 16. Pomperaug will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Green Wave go into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 10-9 non-league loss to Conard (West Hartford, CT).
