The Altamont Indians softball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats to 0 in the Indians league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Altamont moves its record to 6-9 on the year. The Indians host Newton (Newton, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, April 15. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 8-4. Newton won 4-2 in their recent non-league game against St. Anthony (Effingham, IL)

In their next game, the Bobcats clash with the Neoga Indians (Neoga, IL) in a National Trail game, on Monday, April 18. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Indians come into the game with a 2-7 record after their 12-0 non-league win over Martinsville (Martinsville, IL).
