Ansonia Tigers (Ansonia, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bethel Bees (Tipp City, OH), 12-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host New Bremen for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 18.

With the loss, Bethel falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Bees host Riverside (De Graff, OH) to battle the Pirates in a Three Rivers challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Riverside won 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Milton-Union (West Milton, OH)
