Calvary/Lutheran Saints (Springfield, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL), 21-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Saints now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edinburg/South Fork for a MSM challenge on Saturday, April 16.

With the loss, Lanphier falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Glenwood (Chatham, IL) to face the Titans in a Central State Eight challenge on Wednesday, April 20. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. Glenwood lost 4-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL)
