The Macomb Bombers (Macomb, IL) softball nipped the host Camp Point Central Panthers (Camp Point, IL), 5-4 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Bombers now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canton for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 15. Macomb will battle a Little Giants squad coming off a 10-5 league loss to Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Little Giants record now stands at 2-10.
With the loss, Camp Point Central falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Calhoun (Hardin, IL) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 12-4. Calhoun lost 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL)
