Hanover Central Wildcats (Cedar Lake, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Whiting Oilers (Whiting, IN), 19-3 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Hobart for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. Hanover Central will face a Brickies squad coming off a 8-7 league win over Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Brickies record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Whiting falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Oilers host Highland (Highland, IN) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Highland won 6-5 in their recent league challenge against Kankakee Valley (Wheatfield, IN)
