Marion County Knights (Lebanon, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Larue County Hawks (Hodgenville, KY), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Adair County for a District 20 challenge on Monday, April 18. Marion County will battle a Indians squad coming off a 19-6 non-league win over Wayne County (Monticello, KY). The Indians record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Larue County falls to 12-2 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Washington County (Springfield, KY) to battle the Commanders in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 15. The Commanders enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Washington County lost 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Bethlehem (Bardstown, KY)
