South Range Raiders (Canfield, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Madison Mohawks (Middletown, OH), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Vestal for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 15. South Range will face a Golden Bears squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Louisa County (Mineral, VA). The Golden Bears record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Madison falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Mohawks travel to Brookville (Brookville, OH) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 20. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. Brookville lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Waynesville (Waynesville, OH)
