Winnfield Tigers (Winnfield, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Wayne Pioneers (Wayne, WV), 13-4 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Port Allen for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Winnfield will face a Pelicans squad coming off a 14-1 non-league loss to Maurepas (Maurepas, LA). The Pelicans record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Wayne falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Logan (Logan, WV) to face the Wildcats in a Cardinal challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-9. Logan lost 10-2 in their recent league challenge against Winfield (Winfield, WV)
