The Avoca Central Tigers baseball team scored 23 runs and limited the visiting Alfred-Almond Eagles to 1 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.
The Tigers now hold a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bradford Central for a Section 5 Steuben County outing on Monday, April 17. Avoca Central will confront a Braves team coming off a 15-8 non-league loss to Naples (Naples, NY). The Braves record now stands at 0-1.
Next, the Eagles confront the Arkport Central Bluejays (Arkport, NY) in a Section 5 Steuben County outing, on Monday, April 17. Alfred-Almond will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Bluejays go into the outing with a 3-0 record after their 8-3 league win over Campbell-Savona (Campbell, NY).
