In Friday's non-league challenge, the River Oaks Mustangs (Monroe, LA) baseball squad edged the visiting Caldwell Parish Spartans (Columbia, LA), by a final score of 5-4.
With the win, River Oaks upgrades its record to 7-12 on the season. The Mustangs host Sterlington (Sterlington, LA) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 20-7. Sterlington won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Weston (Jonesboro, LA)
With the defeat, Caldwell Parish falls to 12-11 on the season.
