The Chillicothe Hornets crushed the visiting Clinton Cardinals baseball team by a tally of 16-3 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Hornets now hold a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Savannah for a Class 4 District 16 bout on Tuesday, April 18. Chillicothe will face a Savages team coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Smithville (Smithville, MO). The Savages record now stands at 10-6.
Next, the Cardinals face the Oak Grove Panthers (Oak Grove, MO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 15. Clinton will attempt to advance on its 1-11 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 6-4 record after their 7-4 non-league loss to Marshall (Marshall, MO).
