Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting McDonald Blue Devils (McDonald, OH), 7-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, Neshannock upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Lancers host Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA) to battle the Tigers in a WPIAL 3A 1 test on Monday, April 17. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 1-6. Beaver Falls lost 15-3 in their recent league test against Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA)

The Blue Devils (7-3) will now prepare for their game against Springfield (New Middletown, OH). The Tigers go into the Mahoning Valley Athletic - Scarlet game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Springfield was edged by Ursuline (Youngstown, OH), 10-0, in a non-league game.
