In Friday's non-league battle, the host San Gabriel Matadors volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Polytechnic Panthers.

The Matadors (20-4) will now prepare for their battle against Montebello (Montebello, CA). The Oilers come into the Almont battle with a 5-26 record. In their last battle, Montebello lost by Saddleback (Santa Ana, CA), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Panthers encounter the Flintridge Prep Wolves (La Canada, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, April 15. Polytechnic will attempt to advance on its 13-1 season record. The Wolves come into the battle with a 8-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Simi Valley (Simi Valley, CA).
