Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Barnwell Warhorses (Barnwell, SC), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Fighting Green Hornets now sport a 7-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Aiken for a AAAA Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Aiken will face a Thoroughbreds squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC). The Thoroughbreds record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Barnwell falls to 13-2 on the campaign. The Warhorses host Horse Creek Academy (Aiken, SC) to face the Stallions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Stallions enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Horse Creek Academy lost 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Jefferson Davis Academy (Blackville, SC)
