The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Ashland Arrows (Ashland, OH) and the visiting Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH), saw Ashland's softball squad nip Mapleton by a count of 12-9.

The Arrows now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Holmes for a Ohio Cardinal match on Tuesday, April 18.

With the loss, Mapleton falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Mounties travel to New London (New London, OH) to face the Wildcats in a Firelands match on Monday, April 17. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 4-4.
