In Friday's non-league outing, the host Independence Blue Devils softball team scored a close 8-4 win over the Brookside Cardinals.

Coming up next, the Blue Devils battle the Brooklyn Hurricanes (Brooklyn, OH) in a Chagrin Valley - Metro outing, on Monday, April 17. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
