Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Orion Chargers (Orion, IL), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Storm now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kewanee for a Three Rivers East challenge on Monday, April 17. Bureau Valley will battle a Boilermakers squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Riverdale (Port Byron, IL). The Boilermakers record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Orion falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Chargers host Riverdale (Port Byron, IL) to battle the Rams in a Three Rivers West challenge on Monday, April 17. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. Riverdale won 8-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Kewanee (Kewanee, IL)
