Central Grizzlies (Fresno, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 15-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pleasant Grove for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. Central will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Franklin (Elk Grove, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Wheatland falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Notre Dame (Salinas, CA) to battle the Spirits in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. The Spirits enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Notre Dame won 2-1 in their recent league challenge against Monterey (Monterey, CA)
