The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Chaminade Eagles (West Hills, CA) and the host Santa Maria Saints (Santa Maria, CA), saw Chaminade's softball squad achieve victory over Santa Maria by a count of 16-4.

The Eagles now sport a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oxnard for a non-league match on Saturday, April 15. Chaminade will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, CA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Santa Maria falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Orcutt Academy (Orcutt, CA) to face the Spartans in a CCAA - Ocean match on Wednesday, April 19. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 5-7. Orcutt Academy won 12-7 in their recent league match against San Luis Obispo (San Luis Obispo, CA)
