Pequannock Golden Panthers (Pompton Plains, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fair Lawn Cutters (Fair Lawn, NJ), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Panthers now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to High Point for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. Pequannock will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-4 non-league win over Lenape Valley (Stanhope, NJ). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Fair Lawn falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Cutters travel to Lakeland Regional (Wanaque, NJ) to face the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 17. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Lakeland Regional won 18-0 in their recent league challenge against NV - Demarest (Demarest, NJ)
