Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL) and the visiting Lawrenceville Indians (Lawrenceville, IL), witnessed Fairfield's softball squad tip Lawrenceville by a count of 9-8.

The Mules now sport a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hamilton County for a Black Diamond East match on Tuesday, April 18. Fairfield will face a Foxes squad coming off a 19-1 league win over Eldorado (Eldorado, IL). The Foxes record now stands at 6-6.
