Grissom Tigers (Huntsville, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lamar County Bulldogs (Vernon, AL), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 7-21 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rogers for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. Grissom will face a Pirates squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to Brooks (Killen, AL). The Pirates record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Lamar County falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to South Lamar (Millport, AL) to face the Stallions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Stallions enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. South Lamar lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Winfield (Winfield, AL)
