The Gwynedd Mercy Academy Monarchs softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Wissahickon Trojans to 2 in the Monarchs non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Gwynedd Mercy Academy improves its record to 8-2 on the year. The Monarchs travel to Archbishop Wood (Warminster, PA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 18. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 5-4. Archbishop Wood won 8-1 in their recent non-league game against Upper Dublin (Fort Washington, PA)

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials (Plymouth Meeting, PA) in a Suburban One - Liberty game, on Monday, April 17. Wissahickon will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Colonials come into the game with a 3-2 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Pennsbury (Fairless Hills, PA).
